I'm wondering this because I have a PS4, and the PS4 has a good bit of cores(1152, same as GTX 760), but it has a relatively low clock speed of 800Mhz that cannot be adjusted. WebI would take more cores, as you'd have more resources to allocate to more VMs. EDIT: I must've missed the part where you mentioned that this is for a database. In that case, it becomes a lot tougher to decide. Clock speed might be the winner here, but it really depends on the size and load of the database(s), how many VMs, etc.
