If you feel like they're friendly people that want to help and be friends with you then give it a shot. That's what I did and I've been in the same fc for two years now. WebI find it far less annoying than random FC invitations. I don't remember for sure but setting yourself to /busy might work. Busy knocks out too many other things for it to be useful for this long term. /busy status will work, but it also makes it so you auto-deny "Ready Check." Make one yourself.
