They explicitly said that we will be able to solo old raids, and by the looks of it, they’re keeping that promise. They probably know about this, and will find a way to do this. You will surely not able to solo BFA raids in Shadowlands, but up to Legion, you possibly can.

The ideal situation is for a small group of people to play with a story teller (DM) and players, but you can play D&D alone, with just a buddy or a few people without a DM or with a full group. There are even modules and apps that are dedicated to this pursuit. WebMaybe I'm the luckiest one here, this mount dropped on my very first Freehold run EVER on Mythic 0, I didn't even have the HC Achi yet for Freehold, so it was my very first run on level 120 in Freehold. Maybe they increased the drop chance in Season 2, or I'm just extremely lucky. Good luck to everyone still farming it.
